Weddings in India are a never ending affair. Its almost on daily basis that you get an invite to attend a wedding. Wedding – of a close relative , a distant relative , a close friend, a dear friend, an acquaintance , a neighbour, or any known person only makes you worry on the part of – What To Wear.
A Wedding Look worn by me is here for you all to see. This is a Wedding Look #2.
This Rusty Red Lehenga is my Mom’s very 24 years old lehenga gifted to her by my dad. I got to wear it for my cousin’s Krishna Bhajan Sandhya as a pre marriage function. It looked ravishing for the ceremony. The dupatta and the lehenga are from the same set. However , I got a new blouse stitched for it.
As you can see in the picture the lehenga and the dupatta has little sneak peak feel of Rajasthani work. The work has threads with shells, also intricate embroidery with mirror work and Ghungroo attached to them. This beautiful work is done on Black and then patched onto the lehenga and the edges of the dupatta. The dupatta is not a big width but a stole style.
The Peplum Style Blouse is made from very fine quality Brocade material. The brocade has big diamond shapes along with very sleek embroidery of thread all over. The bronze and black color of brocade is perfectly matching with the rusty colored lehenga.
Accessorizing well is the need of every attire. Here you can see me wearing bangles in one hand and a simple gold watch from DKNY in the other hand. The clutch is a gift from Indonesia with crystals all over it. The rings are a statement pieces in Gold and also a cocktail ring. For the ears I wore Kundan antique Gold earrings and kept my neck free from any piece of jewellery.
The hair do is yet another important element of your look. For this beautiful look I left my hair open and parted them to one side in soft curls. But these curls were not made using tongs , instead they were made with Blow dry our curls. You can hardly see the curl effect as they are very soft layered and just gives you a breezy look. The waves it makes , makes you wanna drool over the hairstyle.
This was all about this Wedding Look #2. Will be back soon with another look for you to wear this wedding season.
Till then stay beautiful, stay stylish, stay fashionable.
